Hello Doctors,
I really need your advice on what exactly are we suppose to be doing on the second look. I am more nervous as I have to go on the round with the PD. I do not want to screw up as I really like this program and this round will make or break my chances for the program. Please share your info and any advices you have for me.

I really need your advice on what exactly are we suppose to be doing on the second look. I am more nervous as I have to go on the round with the PD. I do not want to screw up as I really like this program and this round will make or break my chances for the program. Please share your info and any advices you have for me.

Every program is different. It is also not required and shouldn't have any bearings on your ranking order.

For those people who came back for second looks at our program, we scheduled them so that they could come on the day of our didactics. Also we would let them shadow us in the clinic or on rounds. You may get asked simple/basic medical questions....if you don't know, just say you don't know and that you'll look things up.

If you want to attend, don't give yourself too much pressure. Just be yourself. Don't say inappropriate things and also try to be friendly.
