As above, I need some tips and resources for improving communication skills. I have done some search here, but most suggest public speaking which I don't think is what I am looking for. I am trying to improve personal communication skills both verbal and non-verbal skills since I find myself struggle to have conversation with people just met. Anything is welcome, especially if you know any celebrities/famous people who you have learned from. Books, tips, etc. Hope to find others who have the same problems here.

I think it is just practices that make your skills improved.

We all know basics like good eye contacts, hand gestures, being able to articulate, sitting up straight and appearing interested, nodding or responding for active listening, smiling, and so on. I am sure there are YouTube videos out there for some tips, but I would try to make new friends in club meetings, social events, and so on. Start with your peers and begin some conversations. Meeting with professors for questions or advice will be great as well. Being a TA since my freshman year was also very helpful, since I was forced to interact with new students and teach them well. I would practice having good eye contacts while gathering your thoughts and articulating them, for instance. And afterwards, having mock interviews will be useful.

(P.S. When I was learning English in the U.S., someone told me that one of the best ways to improve communication skills as well as my language proficiency is to date someone.)
