I am currently a sophomore and going into my junior year this fall. This summer, I plan on starting to study for my OAT. I am not taking any classes so I can put 100% focus on it. The only thing worrying me is my GPA. My overall gpa is in the 3.6 range, while my science gpa is 3.2. I am in a couple of extracurricular, including Alpha Epsilon Delta, the prehealth society. I have been shadowing for a year so far and also volunteering at the Eye Clinic for a year at the hospital. I am going to find two more places to shadow this summer. I am hoping to TA for Orgo 2 this summer, and I also plan on going on a medical mission trip this winter. I will also be applying for an internship at a VA eye clinic. I am also hoping to possibly work as a tech somewhere. Basically, I just want to know my chances of getting into optometry school anywhere, specifically Nova. I know I need to do well on the OAT to offset my GPA, which is around average I presume? I just don't know if I should add more to what I already am doing.

I was accepted into the 2017 class at NOVA. See you there next year. I might even end up being the one to give you a tour during your interviews. =D Really, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If you're doing all the ECs this summer just to pad up your application, don't bother. You are very well qualified already in terms of GPA and EC. Just make sure you don't bomb the OAT and you'll be fine.
