Tips to improve my chances of getting off the Cornell waitlist?

Yes, I'm on the Cornell waitlist (so is everyone and their mother...or at least it seems that way). I wrote them a Letter of Intent in Feb (*before* being waitlisted), a second LOI/update-on-upcoming-publication a few days ago (a month *after* being waitlisted), and I had an extra strong letter of recommendation sent on my behalf last week. Besides that, is there anything else I can do to improve my chances of getting in off the waitlist at Cornell?

Sounds like you've done everything right. (except, of course, putting out a hit on everyone currently holding admission 😉 jk) I am also sqirming around on a waitlist (Mayo) and wondering what else I can do. I've done what you have - extra LOI/update letter and extra LOR. Unfortunately I don't think there's much else we can do, unless you are prone to prayer, voodoo or special dances - all of which I'm starting to consider 🙂 Good Luck, and if you do think of anything else that can practically and realistically be beneficial, please let me know!
