Ever came home and so tired you're falling asleep on yourself, can't manage a moment of work?

I just watched 2 PBLs I have for tommorrow, and found ways to weasel out of most of the learning objectives, heh , The wonders of a tired mind.

Exams in 2 weeks and I feel so guilty I am going to waste this evening sleeping 🙁

ya know, dental school is tiring, with the whole study every day pretty much until you sleep... but what's one key ingredient that's missing from it all? Stress.

I haven't been stressed out at all, esp. as I'm not looking to specialize, and the class-work is more voluminous rather than hard, and I am well above the margin for failing (it's so easy to pass).

I had much less work in undergrad, but way more stress.

Dental school has been good times, it just seems hard to find other colleagues that aren't so uptight and stressed out all the time. I got exams this week and next, and I'm going out for wings and beer 👍

The White Sux may win game 1 (because their hitters have good histories against Clemens), but the streak will end there. If the Astros win game 1, series will be over in 5.

Ditto. That's how I feel. Dental school is tiring but it is less stress than undergrad. Undergrad was way more stressful with uncertainties of the dental application, the large classes with curves, and etc; whereas dental school isn't so uncertain - we all eventually pass and be future doctors. This adds an extra bonus when we socialize with people.

Astros should have won game 2, they choked. Before the grandslam, there were two outs with Dye batting. The pitch hit off of Dye's bat, but the ump said it hit him. Replays showed ump was wrong. Next batter, grand slam.

The Astros are the better team. I'd still be surprised if the Sox win the series.

Home again, just finished 4 hrs of anatomy ..
Prof decided to rush down Bones, Connective tissue, skin joints etc in that time..gosh I have alot of reading to do before I can watch 7th heaven tonight.

I can empathize. I'm building a large sleep debt that, no matter how much I try to repay it on the weekends, I cannot repay. I'm starting to get used to operating in a semi-conscious state in which I mechanically intake facts in bulk and spew them out mindlessly on exams. Oh, the joys of dental school.

I plan to head into school about 9:45 tomorrow morning, submit a fixed impression to the lab to do the models/wax-up/casting/finishing/etc., see a few patients, head home about 4:30ish, watch Houston try to keep it interesting, and be asleep by 9 or 10...whenever the game gets boring.
4th year is great. 🙂

2nd year so far has sucked. i hate complaining about things, but honestly this is been the worst time of my life. i just hate it/.

Being DS1 for only a month, my persepective can be quite naive. I do think that dental school is an awesome psychological experiment taking place. It's like putting together some 90 students in one place, and vise them tightly with stress, anxiety, competition, dead bodies, and formaldehyde... then see how they will all respond under some sort of ethical guidelines.

Isn't it kind of cool? I mean how often do we have such a privlege to do so?

Everyday, I keep thinking of how I'm decompensating, and how others are doing just the same. Some react with isolation, others with excessive libido energy, or whatever. I just feel like it is such a great experience to build ourselves up. The Marine motto "what doesn't kill you only make you stronger."

Assuming the bit is on the index finger, and assuming it is a hard bite, then he probably got his extensor digitorum on the 2nd finger, extensor indices, flexor digitorum superficialis on the 2nd finger, flexor digitorum profoundus on the 2nd finger, and the digital portions of the radial and medial nerves severed. 🙂 😀 😛
