Ok so should I be worried if I submitted my application early june, transmitted to schools in july, with a 22 DAT , mediocre gpa, and STILL havent heard anything....? Its almost december!
Because seriously.... Im freaking out

I'd say keep watching out for an invite. Our situation is kinda similar, low GPA, higher DAT, and I've gotten a couple of invites in the last two weeks. So, don't give up quite yet...except for Baylor, you can basically give up on them. Oh how I do so mourn for you. BAYYYYLORrrr! We could have been great together. Perfect. If you were human, I would have made you pancakes every other Tuesday. But you can't eat. You're a school. Remember that. And it's obvious, the only thing you do eat is dreams. No...scratch that. You devour them...and you drink the tears of failures like me as if it were the sweetest of the sweetest ambrosia. 🙁
But, yeah, where was I. Oh. Keep on looking out for San Antonio and Houston. You might be surprised soon, but I can't guarantee it.

Sigh... thanks for the hope! After three months of silent waiting, it can kind of seem hopeless and very lonely. And dark, very dark. Ill keep looking.

finally received my interview invite at UTDB Houston on Nov 29...chances of getting a dec 1 acceptance from them now....maybe a 0.001% but at least there's a chance! lol

Well, cougarpride, sorry to burst your 0.001% bubble but I interviewed at UTDB last year on Nov. 30th and they flat out told me that I wouldn't hear from them Dec. 1st, but the good news is that you should hear from them somewhere mid-Jan. which isn't too bad. Don't know if you've interviewed anywhere else, but I wish you luck. 👍

Keep your head up, partner. There is always the possibility of being rejected but so what. If you love dentistry, stick with it because it is something you'll be doing for the next 30 years. Having to take a one year detour sucks but you'll come back a much better applicant for it.

Anybody know how many emails baylor will send out at midnight? Just enough to fill the class, or excess?

Well it wouldnt make much sense to send out more acceptances than they have spots to fill. They may send out all their acceptances and then wait list a few to back fill later.

I spoke with my friend thats a D1 at Baylor who got some info from a reliable source and he said that they only interview approximately 180 students and have 104 spots to fill. So the odds are pretty good at this point to get in, im sure some of the 104 will be accept else where and that only helps if your banking on Baylor.
 
Can somebody post the way/when each of the three Texas schools sends out noticies on Dec. 1st? I keep hearing different things and don't know what's the most recent info.
 
I interviewed at both UTHSC-SA and Baylor and they both said offers are given through email but an actual letter when come in the mail shortly after.
 
You will receive an email around midnight on December 1st...mine came at 12:12am(Baylor). I was too nervous to sit there and wait, so I went to went sleep early and finally checked around 3am. The email is what you are looking for...you will receive an "official" acceptance letter in the mail a week later. I was more stressed out at this time last year than any other time in my life, so I feel for you guys! Good Luck!!!

Thanks, so Baylor sends an email around midnight, but what about San Antonio & Houston. Do they send an email around 8AM?
 
Houston sends out emails at the same time as Baylor (around midnight), but they only fill 40% of their spots on Dec 1st. San Antonio sends out emails around 8am.
 
San Antonio also calls people on Dec. 1st to offer acceptances. I received a phone call last year Dec. 1st around 10 am from Dr. Segura, but I did receive an email around 8:30 that morning and then they also send you an official letter which is basically the same thing as the email (oh the email has no subject heading so be careful not to delete emails. I don't know about the other schools. I was accepted to Houston mid-Jan., but their email should say something "Welcome to the Family" and was rejected at Baylor.

Yeah, i didnt fill out an aadsas so I didnt know what "blanks" these ppl were talking about.

5 hrs to go (hopefully).

I got my Houston email at 7:47 am. Subject line is "Welcome to the UTDB Family!"

You know whats weird is we have all been talking on here for the last 6 months or longer and now will be spending the next 4 years together.
