Jan 13th. I think if you are not accepted your file goes back in the pool. You are then reviewed again every time they decide on the next round of acceptances. Which I was told would be Feb. 10th. No one really knows except for the school. Hope to hear something soon!

I was interviewed at SA Jan 12th...if anyone who also interviewed the same day hears anything please posttt lol...I accepted the offer at LECOM but want to stay in Texassss

Did you interviewed anywhere else? I think DOL got accepted.

I was accepted. Interviewed dec 8 but declined yesterday. Those accepted on the 23rd have till Friday to accept/decline.
 
Yeah so DOL wasn't interviewed on Jan 12th...lol thanks for declining/
 
I emailed Houston last week to ask about my status, and they said still under review. I haven't interviewed there yet. That is my last school I haven't heard from yet. But I am not that optimistic tho 🙁

I'm new to SDN, sooo here's my dental school life story.. haha
I interviewed at Houston (my top choice) in November, but haven't heard back.
I was rejected from San Antonio on Feb 3 without an interview.
I was accepted to Baylor on Dec 1st. YAY! :soexcited:

I am sorry to break it to you but, Jan.27th was UTSD last interview. If Houston really is your #1 choice, then I suggest reapply next year. Otherwise, I would keep my fingers crossed for OOS schools.

So ..someone said they got an acceptance email from the Baylor post, anyone else here also receive anything? Waiting for Baylor but I'm not too optimistic..: (
 
I received an acceptance email from Baylor earlier today

I'd bet they would all go out at the same time, so would say that round is over.
 
2nd round has already been sent out. 3rd is next if it hasn't happened already.
 
Baylor is done with their second round. Next expected offers will be late Feb - early March.
 
Congrats to all of you guys who got accepted to Baylor! I hope to see you guys there soon! I am so excited to start dental school. Is it me or does it seem like quite a few people tend to get accepted to Baylor or SA (or both) but also get rejected by Houston? Or get accepted to Houston but rejected by Baylor or SA? Not just on here but people from my school as well. Does Houston look for something "unique" in their students compared to Baylor or SA? I talked to a few dental students a year ago or so and was told that Baylor loves bio classes and volunteer experiences, SA loves GPA (basically all academics), but Houston was always the unknown.

I have no idea either! I really am very curious as to why Houston has been quiet for me - what are they looking for? Or what was a red flag for them in terms of my app? 🙁

It's quite odd. I know Houston is the slowest of the 3 dental schools in terms of sending acceptances and/or interviews but a lot of my friends feel that Houston looks for something other than GPA/DAT (although these are VERY important already). Sure, they may have the highest GPAs of the schools but maybe... the interviews are the biggest thing for them?
 
There are plenty of people who did really well in their interview, but yet haven't received an acceptance. So, it might be something else lol.

Maybe if you mention family a lot you will get in. They are pretty big on family. That's my other somewhat logical guess lol

Just saw someone got accepted to Houston this morning from SDN. Did anyone interviewed on December 2nd, and received their acceptance today?
 
Oh my god. My heart just stopped. Just checked my email - was emailed 7:26AM today !

Interviewed all the way back in October though.

Most likely will be withdrawing Baylor soon! 🙂 Good luck everyone!
 
I think I am who BabyShades is talking about. I interviewed December 9th!

Still in shock!!!!

Any of you guys who just received an offer interviewed in January?
 
Yeah I Know that, I'm just trying to figure if they're through with the second half of the seats or they just offered a few of the remaining seats.
