Hi sdn,

Im writing my optional essays right now. Im done with ps and unique experience but im not sure what personality essay is asking for..?
I really need to get this done cuz im holding my app for like 2 weeks because of this..

Please describe any personal characteristics and/or important or challenging experiences you have had that will contribute to the diversity (broadly defined) of or provide educational benefits to the student body. (2500 max characters)

so are they just telling me to write what challenging experience i have had that will contribute to the diversity?
can i just write something that has nothing to do with dental?
for example, i was a president of cultural organization and I had such and such challenging experiences. I approached to the problem in such and such way.

It doesn't have to be dental related, your idea is fine.
I wrote about how I volunteered at unconventional places like a psychiatric hospital and that diversified my application because it gave me experience in communicating with sectors of the population that people don't usually interact with.
