Hi! Thanks for your help always!

For TMDSAS, which I already submitted, I used a photo of myself holding a bouquet at my friend's wedding. It was taken by an iphone. Now I am worried that maybe I should have used a formal headshot. Does it matter? Will I be okay? TMDSAS already sent my application to school, so I was assuming that my pic was okay, but can anyone reassure me if "informal" picture is okay as well? If not I may contact TMDSAS...

Thanks again!

I wish I had an answer for you so that I could ease your worry, but unfortunately I don't I just have a comment that I would like to share with everyone who reads this thread.

Unfortunately, this is an example of this generation of applicants - the tech generation. Grammar has worsened and the ability to think things through has worsened. People are so use to posting whatever they want on Facebook, Twitter, etc. that they don't really don't think things through all the time. In the case of the OP, what she thought was an innocent picture could potentially have a negative effect on her application. I wouldn't think a major one, but possibly a slight negative one.

People, you are thinking of becoming doctors. I know most of you are still young, but it is time to think things through because you are applying to schools so you may be given the opportunity to become dentists. Therefore, it is time to think like a professional. The application cycle is not informal. It is a very formal process. Does that mean you cannot add personality to it so the adcoms don't see who you are? No. It just means that you should probably not submit things you would normally post on Facebook or Tweet about if you want to be taken seriously.

I agree with the above. I sent in a college graduation picture. I think they are looking for formality.

i sent in a passport photo, so i wasn't really smiling either lol
