Hey everyone, I've got a question about residency and the TMDSAS that I'm kinda freaking out about. I've lived in Texas my whole life, through college. After undergrad (public TX institution), I went out of state for grad school. I finished grad school in August 2006 and have been taking a couple of classes, again out of state. I still have my TX driver's license and voter registration, and I haven't worked or paid taxes out of state (parents in TX thankfully support me).
My question is, am I still a TX resident? I think I am, but I'm worried that TMDSAS won't see it that way. Also, if TMDSAS questions your residency, do they still send out your application, with "non-resident" classification and change it later, or do they wait for verification/affidavits/etc. and then send it out? I would hate to be classified as "non-resident" first and then rely on both TMDSAS and the med schools to change my status back to TX resident. Hopefully I'm freaking out about nothing!! Thanks for any info.
