I have been experiencing chronic daily headaches for almost three years, and recently they have gotten much worse. I grind my teeth to the point where some of them have chipped, and I have heard that grinding teeth can cause headaches, but I dont know if that would cause them to be all day or not.

I saw the dentist about a month ago for a routine checkup. Would TMJD be something that they would notice then or is it something they have to specifically be looking for?

Could I TMJD if I dont experience in my jaw?

Its called a phone, pick it up and call a professional.

Okay sorry for the sarcasm, and I can see by your number of posts you are new here. It is not prudent to ask medical advice from an anonymous forum. Just call your doctor and she/he will be able to help you. If you really want to inform yourself more on symptoms of TMJD before seeing a profesional maybe consider a webmd or a similar site, and you can look up your symptoms and conditions. Good Luck..

bring it up to your dentist. Not all dentists do a TMJ exam on routine dental visits. However, the dentist should probably have discussed your parafunctional habits (grinding) especially with chipped teeth. Also, you should see your primary care doctor to rule out other causes for headaches.

You probly need an oil change. We typically do those every 50k chewing strokes or in layman's terms, every 3 months. Ask your dentist about it, he'll know.
