Hi,

I would like to ask your opinion on this. Do you think that with these stats I am still competitive?

(stats deleted to avoid disclosure of personal information.)

Depends where and for which programs you're applying. Some programs are more competitive than others and may not feel your scores meet their requirements. A first time fail could make you a 2nd tier applicant. Some programs don't accept IMGs.

Are you asking because you've got your application in several programs and you're not getting any invites?

I sent my applications a few days ago, no interviews yet 🙁. So I am thinking maybe I should just give it up. Or apply to very, very low-end programs. Or should I get a JD?🙄 Nope. I am an IMG I don't even know how to write or speak properly. That is so sad. Oh well. There are other things in life. 😍

Relax, you just sent in your applications a few days ago. You should at least get a few interviews. However, by applying so late, you did kind of drop the ball, and residency programs have filled a lot of their interview slots by now. So I can't guarantee that you'll get a lot of interviews. However, getting only a few interviews doesn't necessarily mean you won't match. I have a friend who ranked only three programs and she managed to match.
As for your board scores, failing the Step 2 CS will be a red flag on your application. However, your Step 2 CK score was a vast improvement over your Step 1 score and you have already passed Step 3. Those two factors ought to work in your favor. So don't give up all hope just yet.

It's really not that late, for IM, FM, Psych, etc. Depends what field you are looking for. The fail of CS is a problem, but you've done everything you can about it -- passed it, and have US clinical experience. Programs received ALL of their MSPE's on wednesday -- we are drowning! Give programs some time and see what happens. Make sure you applied to a spread of programs -- some Univeristy, some Community.
