Hi, I'm totally new to SPSS. I have this problem while inserting data in the boxes. I'll try to explain:

1.......................A
2.......................B
3.......................A
4.......................K
5......................A,B
6......................K,A
7.......................A

when I retrieve the output at a frequency table it counts 3As, 1B, 1K, 1 A,B ; 1 K,A

I want it to count it separately how am I supposed to do that? like this: 5As, 2Bs, 2KS...

HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!

Hey,

I've encountered this before as well. SPSS doesn't accept 2 variables in a single data field, so how you tackle it will depend on if the data can be entered separately (ie split K & A) or if it can't because of your experimental design (then this will require you to become more creative with how you group it). Can you give us some more information about what you're working on and what you'd like to do?
