Is it inappropriate to send an email asking about the status of decisions, or is it better just to wait it out? I interviewed at a program two weeks ago, and still haven't heard anything, even though they indicated I would hear back in around one week. I was going to send an email asking if decisions have been made, and if they are going to let applicants know either way. Is this looked at negatively or does it not matter?

I would imagine that an email would be fine. An email every day might get a little pester-y, but I can't imagine them saying
"She's on our admit list!"

"Wait - she just sent us an email asking for a status update."

"Well then forget it. We'll have to go to FranklinR, that bastard."

No, seriously, I think it would be fine.

I'm in the same boat... except today is the deadline for the program I interviewed at 2 weeks ago... so I'm waiting to see what everyone input is on this matter.

Okay, I just have to admit that this is my exact fear! Of course, it's completely irrational. I vote for sending the email!

K. It's sent. Done.

I'm such a pushover!

Well I sent one email last week, but it was 4 weeks after I interviewed. Still no response 🙁

Guys,
Have you received a reply to your e-mails? I am in the same situation...😕
