How many times to go through Robbins Q-Book? Some of the questions are really challenging, but I like the multi-step answer practice i get. Will I be wasting time to repeat the book again?? Thanks 😀

Anyone is free to respond if you've used the Robbins. I'd be interested to hear. I've got BSS, NMS, Q-Book, A & L, Blueprints, etc. so I'm trying to weed out only the most high yield. I'll start Q-Bank in two weeks. 😎

I used (in this order)

1. QBank
2. Robbins
3. BSS
4. Rapid Review
5. Appleton and Lange

I did each one completely and then redid some random QBank an BSS questions near the test date.

I went through all of Robbins. Thought it was excellent. I'd try to read like 100 pages of BRS Path one day and then do the corresponding questions in Robbins the next morning. That way it wasn't right after but it still served to reinforce concepts. I tried doing Qbank and Robbins twice. I thought it was a waste to do questions twice b/c I wound up remembering a lot of the questions just b/c I remembered the correct choice for questions I got wrong the 1st time around and not necessaraly the reasoning behind it. Try to get through the book once but paying attention and learning from the questions you got wrong or guessed on.

Appreciate the advice. I only picked up Robbins a couple of weeks ago, but really like the question format. BSS is a buzzkill, but I know... "no pain, no gain". I'm doing Russo's advice of BRS then Robbins. Makes a good combo and keeps me away from studying Biochem..ha! 😀

Hey there, thanks for asking. I appreciate it.

What I did is this...

First time through (during Year 2 courses), I would highlight the NUMBER of a question that I missed (NOT the answer), so I could review it later. The last 2-3 weeks, I reviewed all the highlighted answers and picked questions at random that I did not highlight to make sure I really did learn it. If I "guessed" at a question and got it right, I would highlight it too.

Long story short, I went through the [wonderful] Robbins QBook 1.5 times.

Best wishes!!!
