To call or not to call, please help me!!

Ok the last 2 times I have applied to WVU I have gotten interviews. I got the supplemental in October and it was turned in and paid for in October as well. I have not been invited for an interview yet.
My question is should I call about any openings for the dec 15 interview date? Or should I wait to be invited for an interview?

i dont know what to tell you... im just posting to say that im in the same position with NYU and BU but I feel I am going to wait till the summer where they will say class is full.

I don't think you should call and ask for an interview. That just seems presumptuous. If you want you can call about your application status to see if an invite got lost in the mail. But, if they want to interview you, they'll ask you.

I dont think it would hurt to call at all. If anything I would think that it would let them know that you are still interested.

What have you been doing since you applied last?

My dad used to be on the WVU admission committee. While it would be helpful to call and show your continued interest in the school, if your credentials haven't changed since your last try, you probably won't get in. WV residents are entitled to an interview, but once you have been put on hold or rejected, they will be wary to let you in unless you show that you are truly dedicated to a career in dentistry.

I have been in grad school and taken 5 more upper level biology classes (all A's and B's) as well as retaking my DAT's which improved. My application was recieved October 25th (I got an email from WVU) My supplemental was sent out to me Oct 26th (date on the letter from WVU) I hand delivered the supplemental and check Oct 29th. I took three weeks for the check to clear and now I have heard nothing from them. Just not sure what to do? Why would they send the supplemental out so quickly and then I don't hear anything?

Well you applied a little bit late too, so maybe it will take longer for the them to get to your application....

My app. got in late as well (stupid aadsas). My dad had to pick the supplemental up for me and hand deliver it back as you did on Oct 15th or so. I got really lucky and was placed on wait list for the Nov. 17th interview and got the interview. When the dean of admissions called to make the interview appt. with me she said there was one spot for the 17th and a few in Dec. So they're probably just really backed up. In that regard, I would call and ask if there was anything missing from you app that is hindering your interview chances.

I called shortly after I turned in my supplemental to make sure they had recieved my lastes DAT, and my app is complete. I am going to call on Monday and see if there is a hold up or if they just screwed my application process up like they did last year. Long story if you want the detail PM me. I have had BAD interviews both times (Neither was my fault it was WVU's)
