To current NYCOM students -- Convention Question

I know there's an AOA Convention in San Francisco this coming November. There's rumors going around that NYCOM suspends classes for a day or so to let students attend part of the convention. Also, I heard everything is paid for, as long as you provide for your airfare. Is this true? If so, do you know when these two days off will be? Thanks...

Yeppers... nycom suspends class for about 3 or 4 days, depending on how the convention falls within the week. Last year there was about 240 students from nycom who attended the convention in new orleans. Supposedly the year before that there was about 150 students in Vegas. Student Government pays for all the rooms, hence you just provide your airfare and money for "extracurricular activities". I dont know when the convention is this year. I think it's in november sometime, hence there will most likely be a few days off within that time frame. Check the AOA website for dates of the convention.

Called NYCOM, they said we get Nov.8th - 10th off this year. Woohoo it's in San Francisco, so I get to go home! 👍
