I applied to International Medical University which is in Malaysia which has it's pre-clinicals in Malaysia and clinicals in either UK/US/AUS/IRELAND/CAN/NZ. But my main concern is that i would not be exposed to any dissections of cadavers there as they don't use them for teaching. Would this affect and make me at a disadvantage compared to my other peers overseas? Also, i was wondering if anyone knows what the standard of teaching there is like and is it quite hard to understand them. (heard there are lots of Indian lecturers?)
Alternatively, i could apply to other medical schools, which expose me to cadavers and dissections but cost more.
Is dissection really important in the learning of anatomy/physiology? Will i be at a loss during my clerkship years if i am not exposed to any dissections?
