Hey all,

I've been thinking about studying abroad at the University of West Indies (UWI). Which is a better idea: Staying in the U.S. and studying dentistry or studying abroad? Below are the facts:

US Dental Schools
- requires interview
- requires DAT
- requires chem, bio, physics, organic chem
- 4 years
- not sure if I can get in

UWI
- requires no interview
- requires no DAT
- requires chem, bio, physics
- 5 years
- 90% sure I can get in
- cheaper ($6 TT = $1 US)
- must redo last 2 years of dental school in an accredited US school upon return to US.

So... which is a better idea for me?

thanks,

bus

Fine, don't answer... I see how it is! 😡 😡 😡

Well, it's not such an easy question. If I were you I would go right away for a US school. Why? Because when you finish your degree in India what makes you sure that you'll get in one of those 2 or 3 year programs for international graduates. Aparently it's harder to get in a program like that then in a regular 4 year DDS program. That's what I would try. Of course , if you are so determined to end up in the US.
Good luck!😉
