Congratulations, you are finally at approximately the half-way point on you road to becoming a doctor. Hang in there, its only going to get harder, so who's in for the challenge?

I'm not graduating for a bit longer, but I'm in!

Just a heads up you posted this in the high school section...

I'm assuming you're talking about college seniors not high school since that wouldn't even be close to being the halfway point.

No, High school is Almost half depending on speciality.

4 years undergrad, 4 years med school, 3 years residency + 2-3 For fellowship is 13-14 years. Sure if you want to go into a surgical sub-specialty, its gonna be longer, but at the minimum this is the ALMOST the halfway point. .

Also even though residency is "training", I wouldn't consider it "school". Once I am a resident I will consider myself to be a "doctor", which is my goal.

Oh, so you mean halfway as in we did 13 years of schooling (k-12) and have 13 left? 😕

Interesting way to look at it. 👍

Yes you will be a Doctor by degree, once you graduate, but you will not be a "Doctor".

Lol, I've never thought of it that way...from naptime to college! Woo

Yup, and you'll be called by first name, not "doctor" (your patients do mostly call you doctor though).

I definitely feel I'm ready for the challenge during my upcoming undergraduate years. Its going to be really tough but if those who really want it, will achieve it.

Nah..

its;

12 years + 4years med + 1-8years res/intern + lifetime of learning = Lifelong profession.

WOA, smart mofu.

12 years + 4years college/uni + 4years med + 1-8years res/intern + lifetime of learning = Lifelong profession.

Well, regardless of what the other jerks here think or say, I understand what you were getting at. I view it roughly the same way. I am a graduating senior but have two years of undergrad done as well. So, I consider myself past the halfway point now.

LOL. You got your Medical Speciality all picked out too?

do I ever wish life was like a video game..🙄
