To NYCOM Students- are the notes for Path posted online?

Hi,

I'm going to be starting at NYCOM this fall, class of 2008. I was looking at the notes and lectures posted online by NYCOM. I noticed, unlike Physiology and Gross Anatomy, the notes for Pathology don't seem to be online. I have 3 questions regarding this:

1. Are notes given out, at all, in Pathology class (or does a student just have to follow the lecture and take their own notes just like they did when they were an undergrad)?

2. If notes are given out for Path, are they posted online? If so, am I correct in assuming the Path professor posted the notes online and then removed the links a little later on (a few weeks later)?

3. Also, would anybody happen to have the syllabus for Pathology in pdf format (its not online)? If so, can you send it to my email address [email protected].

path notes are given out as a packet on the first day of path lecture. the professor follows them "loosely" this is the one class that is a good class to atten b/c he will tell u what u need to know from the notes. RELAX!

Let me see if I understand this.

You have essentially 1 month of relaxation left and your time is spent on locating a (of all the classes) pathology syllabus, of all the classes pathology will be the least of your worries...

RELAX!

People spend their time in different ways, don't judge me on how I spend mine. I've just set high standards for myself, anything wrong with that?

Besides, the syllabus for Gross and Physio are both downloadable off the net but Path isn't, why else would I ask?

When I try to access the "Still" site ...it won't let me login with the password NYCOM sent me (Actually what NYIT sent me 😕 )

the login/password is not the same for the "still" site and the webboard. There is a generic login/password for the academic one. PM me and ill tell you. Not like its a huge secret but just in case. i guess its passworded for a reason.

the path notes arent "online" for two reasons :
the path dept differs from what it does between the two people teaching path
one gives out outline tupe notes that almost "require" a student to attend class and read extra...
the other one gives out notes, which, imho make robbins almost completely unnecessary... this prof has her own site that has all the notes online if you need them.

the path from second year that is given out is good... but you have to study it well for it to be taught well...
as for rotations, ill talk to you when im back on campus
