I have been debating whether or not I should sell my furniture and buy new ones when I get to Kent, or should I rent a Uhaul and move everything with me from Florida. Is anyone else in the same situation on trying to decide to keep or sell your bed/dresser/other furniture items? I'm thinking with the price of renting and gas, it would be cheaper to sell it all and buy new Ikea furniture. What to do?? 😕😕😕

Okay, so maybe not Ikea because the closest store I found was three hours away. But the debate continues regardless.

Craigslist. I got my couch, kitchen table, desk, tv stand, and book shelf for $75.

I would never buy a used bed though. Gross.

UHaul can get really expensive and I furnished a college apartment for less than $250 from stuff I found on craigslist. I would buy everything used but the mattress. UHaul wants more than $250 for a small trailer that wouldn't really hold furniture, and that is for only 350 miles.

I agree.. I am not sure where I am moving to yet but I know I am not renting a uhaul to move my junk. I plan on buying new junk wherever I do land a spot in Pod School. I just bought a new mattress off of overstock.com delivered to my door for $200... Memory foam and it's great!!! Plus with the right bag and a vacuum cleaner, it will suck down to a size small enough to fit in my camry...
& Craigslist rules

Haul advertises only 25 to rent a truck but they Add on close to a dollar a mile if I remember correctly. Craigslist it my friend
