i'm in a sticky situation. i've been accepted to LECOM and i'm awaiting interviews at a few more, but the deposit is due in early december. i don't have the money to put down a deposit and then put down another. i really like LECOM, but i'm also very interested in a couple more. is there anyway to postpone a deposit, or does that just throw away my seat? i guess i just want options, but i'm trying have my cake and eat it too. any advice or options that i have are appreciated. thanks

Unfortunately, I think you will have to put down the deposit. I don't think that LECOM will let you postpone it.

I'm in a similar situation, however I've interviewed at a few other schools and won't hear back until early next year.

As much as I hate to pay the deposit and know full well I wont' get any of it back shoudl I be accpeted to any of the three other schools, there's not much I can do. Look at it as another application fee, it seems to be a form of remedy for me (somewhat).

I agree with everyone above. You have to secure your spot for next year, just because you really don't know about the other schools. My pre-med advisor told me to put down a deposit. i'm debating between schools, maybe I will put down a deposit for both schools, just so I can have till may to decide between them

Just remember that the spots you are sitting on or double paying for are at the expense of our fellow members who must now wait longer because of indecision.

I wish I wasn't or didn't have to be indecisive, but there are alot of pros and cons to both schools. On the bright side, I am and have already sent in notification to the other schools that I will not be attending their school so i can open up these spots before the December 12 deadline.
