Ok, so i'm applying for this cycle and currently taking orgo, bio and physics to finish up my pre-reqs. Originally I was planning on waiting until the first quarter of grades from these classes came in (which should be good grades) and submitting my accomas in Dec.

I'm starting to get anxious however watching everyone get invited for interviews and what not and I'm wondering if I should go ahead and submit just so the schools know I'm alive and interested?

What is the concensus on this kiddos?

Thanks so much
Laura

You are waiting to submit because you wanted to include your Fall grades but are definitely planning to apply this year? Is that right? If so, go ahead and submit!

In my opinion, it won't hurt anything to have your app out there before your fall classes are in, and it's always good to get it in earlier rather than later. You might get interviews based on your performance to date... (I don't know how many of the prereqs have to be completed before schools look at your app) Also, you can update your transcripts at AACOMAS (which will update with schools) with your new grades when you get them. In addition, it's good to get the the process started since you have to wait (don't know what the wait is like now but it was a few weeks long earlier this cycle) when you do submit because it takes some time to verify.

I don't know if that answers your question or not, but either way, good luck! 🙂

Yes that answers my question exactly, thanks a ton, your thoughts are sort of what I was thinking

Anyone else have input

I submitted my AACOMAS before my MCAT scores were released and before I finished my last pre-req. I took the advice of everyone and got everything in as early as possible.

I would go ahead and submit. If the schools want to wait and see your grades, they will let you know. Once your stellar grades are in, they will look at your app and all you have to do is send them a transcript (which will probably be faster than submitting your whole app in December.

Brian did you get accepted to nsu before finishing pre-reqs?
