to take an easy class or not?

hey guys, my spring semester is about to begin, i have picked 14 classes, they include

calc 4, linear algebra, micro economics, and european history. i can add a beginer level stat class which would be easy to boost my gpa, should i do it? would adcoms look down upon this?

Adcoms won't care, especially with the courseload you already have. They'll just see the A.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with adding a stats class - its a requirement for many medical schools nowadays. Honestly that's a pretty good list of courses, and I think the only time you'd be in trouble for "taking an easy class load" would be if you took less than 12 units. Go for it!

I'm tempted to say go for it. But in my head I hear my stat teacher screaming,"never take stat and calc together unless you want an excuse for downing bottles of advil for headaches."

Stats is the hardest class I have ever taken. It is not anything like "real math", so don't think that just because you have had high level math that stats will be easy.

If it's a class you're genuinely interseted in it, by all means take it. If you're doing it just for the sake of having that one extra class to boast about, I'd say don't.

Adcoms don't care at all how hard your classes are. They just want to see the A's.

Stats is more about ideas and definitions. The math itself for intro to stats isn't that difficult. I think that you could do it withought any problem.
