For those of you who weren't science majors and returned to school to take your prereqs, did you guys take Principles of Bio 2? It's basically organismal bio with emphasis on evolution and ecology. My advisor told me that the DATs have some questions about stuff like that and said it would be necessary to take bio 2... is that true? I know that 2 semesters of bio is required, and obviously bio 1 is a must. But, instead of taking organismal bio, shouldn't taking micro and cell a better idea?

The thing is, i have the opportunity to take bio 2, i just don't know if it would be a waste of my time and money. If i don't need to know about animals and evolution, why take it?

are there really questions of that sort on the DATs?

would you guys recommend i take it? even though my bio requirements are already fulfilled?

thanks!!!

Of course you have to take it... it's a prerequisite class for every dental school in the US. Yes they say two "semesters" of biology classes, but they also say "as required for science majors" or something along those lines.

You need to take it. It's a prereq for dental school and probably a prereq for upper level bio classes.
