I am graduating in May 2008 from the University of Wisconsin with majors in both Finance and Accounting. However, it has always been my intention to go to medical school. For almost as long, it has been my desire to go to HES for my postbacc.
I plan to start either in the summer or fall of 2008, with med school matriculation in 2010. During my undergrad years, I have taken rigorous math classes through the graduate level, worked almost 30 hours per week through school, and took 18 credit units per semester (classes to the max!). I still can't believe I'll make it out of that place with a 3.7 to boot. So...I feel prepared to take 3 science classes in one semester.
In order to be part of the 2010 incoming class, I need to take summer classes. MY QUESTION(S) TO YOU: Would you rather take Gen Chem in the summer of 2008, or start in the fall of 2008 and save O-Chem until the summer of 2009?
I realize that if I saved O-chem until the following summer I would have to take Gen Chem 1 and Bio 1 concurrently. Is this advisable? I have heard that taking Bio before/with Chem is a train wreck because Bio draws moderately from chem. Is this the case at HES?
Thanks.
