hey kids.

so, i don't think i can wait another day. at the interview, they told us that we would hear in a month to a month and a half. well, for those of us that interviewed on 10/11, turkey day is exactly a month and a half after our interviews. i am afraid that this could mean i am in for bad news, as i have heard nothing at all. i am wondering if anyone else out there is in the same boat....if we haven't heard anything by now is it safe to assume that we are going to get the dreaded wait-list or the rejection? any help from anyone who knows about Rochester would be great. they're my first choice, and i'm stressing.

In the same boat here. I interviewed on the 12th and really liked Rochester. I am getting pretty sick of this waiting game!!

sorry...i hit the reply button too early, so i'm going to post this again. also...do you know of anyone that interviewed around our time that has been accepted? i will post as soon as i hear anything...you do the same.

The only people that have heard something (I think) are those that interviewed in September. So, I dont know too much. I would expect to hear before the end of the month.

Did you call them to ask what the status was of your application?

yeah, i emailed about a week ago, and they told me to keep waiting. i am going to wait until next week and then i will call. that would be a full 7 weeks after. i am under the impression that nobody from our interview cycle has heard yet, and i hope i'm right. i'll post again if i hear anything.

Rochester took much longer to get back to me than they told me. I interviewed in September (21st I think). I was told to expect a decision by Nov. 1. A waitlist letter arrived yesterday.

I interviewed at Rochester on 10/18 and recieved an acceptance on 11/19. Much quicker than the 6-8 weeks they told me it would take. Good luck everyone!

yeah, i guess that means i am wait listed or rejected. it's been 6 weeks, and everyone i know who has been accepted got the call within a month. well, they are my first choice so i guess it's back to groveling and sending transcripts.
i would almost rather be rejected.
