to those on quarter system , have you noticed any changes to your gpa when converting to a semester system for amcas? and if so how has the change reflected on your gpa. one would think that your gpa wouldnt change; however, I feel the amcas is out to screw if over every chance possible

Umm, no it won't change, since the number of quarter hours for each class is multiplied by the same multiple.

Example:

Five credit class (quarter) with grade of A, and four credit class with grade of B.

Quarter GPA:
5*4.0 + 4*3.0 = 32 grade points, divided by nine hours = 3.556 gpa

Semester GPA:
To convert quarter credit hours to semester hours, multiply by 2/3:
5*4.0*2/3 + 4*3.0*2/3 = 21.333 grade points, divided by six semester hours (nine times 2/3) = 3.556 gpa

Bottom line: your hours for each class remain proportionately the same, so your GPA will be the same
