Hi,

I'm a week and a half out and was going through old World questions, reviewing some semi weak areas and what not. I haven't looked at FA in a while (1 - 2 weeks). Anyways, I feel like, so many other people post on here, that a lot of the main info, even high yields, has slipped away. So, for the people who felt like that with a week before the test, does the last run through of FA the week before leave you feeling at peace and with some confidencewhen you finally take the test? Also, is this semi normal and hopefully doesn't reflect some underlying acute onset psychiatric/brain disease, lol?

it's called burnout and you should move your test up till right now cuz youre more than ready bro.. unless you got prion disease you didnt suddenly forget anything.

I definitely felt this way before my exam!! At about 1 week out of the exam, I felt like I couldnt remember some of the stuff I had learned and that I could not stuff any more info into my head. I ended up doing a bit better than my NBME exams predicted (>265/99), so dont worry. Your preparation that you've done so far will stick and will come through during the exam. Stick to your schedule and keep up the confidence and good work!

haha thanks man. yeah i'll just stay the course and do my best. and nice name btw, lol, he's got a legendary voice

Wow so you scored a 260+ score? What did you use to study?

Sooooo, I am two weeks away from my exam, and i am really freaking out these days. I feel like i forgot everything. Is it normal or is it just me? I keep having panic attacks, and can't sleep well at nights(i'd go to sleep like 2 in the mornings and wake up around 6). I keep thinking like what if i forget everything in the exam?
How do i cope with anxiety and nervousness? 🙁

hey, i started this thread two weeks ago for the same reason. the test is now 6 days away for me btu i'm feeling better and sleeping fine. i think its normal the last two weeks and the last week you start to wind down kind of so it takes the pressure off. now i just gotta go in and take it

Good luck aashkab! I am sure you'll do great!:luck:

thanks you too!

your going to do really well, i can tell by your commitment to SDN! haha, no but seriously, you seem on top of your stuff. don't stress and let it come to you. i think before you said you just wanted a 220 but you should definitely aim even higher cause you've put in enough work to crush this thing

Just try to stay calm folks. Studies have shown that with heavy sympathetic output, you have trouble accessing memories. For example, this explains why you may have trouble recalling some fairly simple concept when someone blurts out a question and wants an immediate answer. Also, during your study period, there are definitely days where you are dumber than others. I don't know why that is, but some days I just wouldn't be able to turn it on like others. My advice would be to just stay calm and keep dong what's right, and that is staying systematic, sticking to your plan, and have faith that your work will be paid off. There's no reason to stress out over things you can't control.

I felt the same way. I took my exam Friday the 18th and I finished my last full run thru FA/RR the Saturday beforehand. By Tuesday I was freaking out and feeling like I was forgetting stuff even though I had just done well on 2 practice tests two days earlier.

What I did to calm my nerves (as well as review) was to do incorrects on UW and go through the free 150 again. It helped me relax to get most of the stuff right and figure out the material that didn't stick. I looked at HY in FA the day before and test day I was relaxed as possible given the circumstances.

If you are scoring around what you want to get on the real thing, don't fret.
