Hey guys, this is actually my brothers account, but I'm too lazy...
I graduated with a bachelor's in biology and 2.7 GPA (horrible, I know) and ended up with a 20/21/23, and respective percentiles of 93.4/96.2/96.2. If you want me to send you guys a pic for some proof or just need advice, shoot me an E-mail ([email protected]).
I studied for a SOLID 7 weeks straight with an average of 6-8 hours of SOLID hardcore focusing. I found anything more than that, would just burn me out and turn my brain to crap. During this time I didn't have an actual job, but I considered my DAT studies as my "job". I split my day up into two 3-4 hour sessions, and anything between and after those sessions was considered "play" time, which kept me sane the whole way through.
Anyhow, all the materials here helped with my score, and are what I believe to be the essentials needed to pwn the test. With a carefully planned study routine and some discipline, a great score is possible for anybody who really wants it. So without further ado here are the materials I'm getting rid of!!! LOL:
***For those of you asking if it matters that the Kaplan material is from 2008*** ... Beside animal taxonomy, it really DOES NOT matter. The only subject that I found lacking was animal taxonomy -- something you could easily look up online, which is exactly what I did -- good ol' internet. I opted for the cheaper material and found for myself that it doesn't matter, especially if the material is only a couple years old. The material to be learned is the most basic of each subject, so really, none of the material could conceivably be changed or updated. And my scores are a reflection of this, as I received percentiles of 92/97/95 in bio/ochem/gchem, respectively, and a total science percentile of 96.
1. Complete 2008 Kaplan Package which includes all the material you receive for the $1600 UCLA Kaplan course (purchased for $85, asking for $70 obo. In other posts, I saw people selling their 2010 Kaplan Package with the same material for $150+ which is ridiculous, since you could be buying an extra Destroyer or whatever else your heart desires with the extra cash):
- Big Kaplan Blue Review Notes Book (used condition, but no writing or highlights in it)
- White Kaplan Lesson Book (used and written in, but it's necessary info and fill-in-blanks -- trust me, you're going to want it and it saves you time)
- DAT flash card set
- 1 paper diagnostic test administered by UCLA Kaplan
- 1 full-length CD-ROM test and PAT practice
*a HUGE note for those of you, who like me, haven't a clue on how to even begin studying. I just followed the Kaplan White Lesson Book as my guideline for a streamlined study routine, as this is the book Kaplan also follows when teaching their course. Before and after each lesson, the book tells you what to read from the Big Blue Review Notes Book and what type of online Kaplan problems to practice, which I simply replaced with Destroyer and Crack DAT PAT problems. For somebody who didn't have a plan of attack, this book definitely showed me a streamlined guideline of what to study and what problems to work on at the appropriate times.
2. DAT Destroyer 2010 Edition (purchased for $109, asking for $90 obo in brand new condition)
3. Math Destroyer 2010 Edition (purchased for $109, asking for $90 obo in brand new condition)
4. 2008 Big Kaplan Blue Book w/ 2 full-length practice tests (purchased for $42, asking for $35 obo unused/brand new condition. Besides a crease on the front cover, this book actually has NEVER been used and is essentially brand new LOL. It's because I ended up buying my friends full package UCLA Kaplan materials which included the White Lesson Book that I wanted)
5. Scholarware TOP Score Pro CD. There's 75 days (10 weeks) remaining on the account. Contains 3 full-length tests on CD-ROM (purchased for $60, asking for $30 obo)
That's all of it.
BEST OF LUCK!
