Is it considered too early to be hearing back for interviews from dental schools for us students that submitted the application first week of August and got verified within the first week?

it depends on what schools you applied to and what your stats are
and what you consider "too early"

my advice is that you relax and trust the process
worrying and comparing yourself to others has no effect on if and when you receive invites...

I have heard back and have interviews 23/3.5, DAT took until last week to verify took it on the 8th.

I applied first week of June and I received interviews during the first and third week of august. If you applied in August, I feel like you shouldnt worry yet (I know, easier said than done). Each school is a little different but I really think August complete dates should hear back by like October maybe? For most schools. Stay positive!

For med school, i think the rule of thumb is to not freak out about interviews until Thanksgiving.
It can't be that different for dental school.

There's no "too early" in case. Schools will reach out when they get to your apps. So, trust the process as @macsak has said.
