So I was looking at my schedule for next year and I am only signed up for 12 credits in the fall and 13 in the spring. Is this going to look bad for dental schools since I know they like to see people take 17 or so credits a semester? The reason I picked 12 is because I really only need 9 credits each semester to finish my requirements but I needed to be a full time student and therefore needed 12. I just didn't see a point in wasting money for another class.

I don't think so as long as you have taken heavy loads in the past and demonstrated that you can handle it. If it comes up in an interview you can always explain it in terms of your financial situation. I think that if you weren't working at all and kept enrolling with a bare minimum amount of credits then that might work to your detriment.

You'll be fine, enjoy yourself. I had 12 credits my last year in college, and was never asked about it.

Ditto! I agree with Sprgrover. As long as your academic record is not a series of 12credit terms. Ad comms do consider your course loads, difficulty of your curriculum, and achievement! If you've pursued challenging course loads and subjects within the same semester, they will consider that and perhaps understand the winding....down.... 😉

Admission committee may concern your workload (?), but the most important thing is your GPA. Only take the appropriate course load that you think you can make all As. Think about this. You take a lot of courses, but with relative not good GPA. Your file might be put in the other group automatically by computers instead of the group with high GPA. Your case would not be reviewed by human beings as well as your rols. In my opinions, just boost your GPA as high as you can, and you will have more chance.
