I already have three shadowing experiences (different specialties, one day each) from three years ago and I was thinking of doing a few more in other specialties in the next few months.

Not sure if they will end up being more long term experiences or just a one time thing...Is it worth shadowing continuously (that is if the dr is okay with it?)
And is it okay to write about a shadowing experience in the personal statement?

Thanks! 🙂

If you have only 24 or so Shadowing hours to report so far, getting more is a good idea. Hopefully there will be an office-based primary care doc on your final list. Rather than numerous specialties, if a longer-term (multiple session) opportunity is offered, I'd suggest taking it.

Yes, mentioning shadowing, even a de-identified experience with a specific patient, in the PS is fine.

But would the fact that I am doing a bulk of the shadowing hours so close to submitting apps be frowned upon..?

No. Unlike other expected ECs, longevity is not expected with Shadowing. And regardless, your interest in medicine is not short term, as evidenced by the experience from three years ago and also by whatever active clinical experience you've accumulated.
