Too late for DO?

Almost all of my MD applications are in but I'm starting to think that I made a big mistake by not applying to any DO schools this cycle. Is it too late for me to apply now? I can finish my application in a few days and can get my college to send me letters sometime next week. Here are my stats:

cCPGA = 3.7, sGPA=3.62, MCAT 31R, lots of research, 2 publications, tons of volunteer experience with underserved populations, 2 years of shadowing

What do you guys think? Apply now or just hope for the best with MD?

your stats look pretty good for MD schools as long as your not asian. if your black or hispanic, you are good to go haha

Unfortunately not...just plain old European. Doesn't being an Italian/Greek girl from Queens count as a minority? haha

The only thing I'm worried about is that I have a C+ in Orgo I, B- in Orgo II, and a B- in Physics I. I pulled out an A- in Physics II and have As for the rest of the prereqs (including labs). I just don't want that to come back and bite me in the a** for MD schools and kick myself for not going DO.

haha, im from queens too... hopefully you'll get an interview despite the low grades in orgo and physics. it doesnt hurt to apply to DO schools now. it is a bit late but i actually submitted my AACOMAS last friday and it was verified today so it was pretty quick. make sure you get ready for the secondary essays before you even get the secondaries lol.

Go for it. Last year LECOM was still sending out invites in April. These were regular interview slots, not just interviewing for the waitlist.
