I am a senior at the University of Pittsburgh, I am applying to Osteopathic School, and I took my MCAT's in August. I have yet to submit my application to AACOMAS because the pre-professional health commitee at my school wanted to view it before i sent it in. Are all of the good choices filled up already?
Also, what is the most objective way to rate the schools?

Your chances are zero if you don't apply.
You might as well apply, I would suggest you have your transcripts sent to AACOMAS asap. Having them verify your transcripts seems to take the longest chunk of time. Good luck

My interview with the proffesional health committee is next week
I think you have good chances-although applying late might set you back a bit. Why haven't you gotten your AACOMAS ready so they could review it?
PS-good schools are a matter of opinion. Some of them have dress codes, some of them are graded, some of them are more expensive, some requiring moving outof state for the 3 and 4 year rotations-some are affiliated with good rotations in state-some are affiliated with state-supported institutions, some are private. Do your research-visit the websites.

I took the aug mcats a couple of years back too, and i don't think that i even had the aacomas stuff done until the first part of nov and didn't get all the secondaries done til around Christmas. I had no problem getting interviews or acceptances. it is definitely not too late, good luck- floweree

Like medic said, your chances are zero if you don't get the application in.
Honestly, I would have told the committee "yes, sure absolutely, I'll wait for you to review my application before I send it in." And then promptly put in my credit card number and sent it. Honestly, what can they tell you to change besides your personal statement? The application is a series of questions which require factual answers. Since the osteo schools do rolling admissions, earlier is always better.
I'm in a panic myself because of my committee LOR. All my secondaries are done and I've been invited for 2 interviews, but I can't seem to get the LOR done. I've asked three profs for recommendations to go to the committee and they've had a month to do it. Still nothing.
It takes a while to get everything submitted.
Have your transcripts sent out ASAP, though.

Apply. I was in the same situation. Apply now. I eventually decided to apply without waiting for my August MCAT scores and I actually received a phone call from VCOM about interview. My interview is set up at the end of the month. I thought they would want my MCAT scores before they decided to interview but that was not the case. Apply now. Good luck.
Apply now! Spaces fill really quick. I heard from reliable sources that classes are almost completely filled by December.
