Too late to apply?

Hi there!
I used the search function 🙂 and didn't find anything unfortunately. or maybe i didnt look hard enough but here goes...

I have a 3.2 GPA (both science and cumulative) and a 27Q MCAT score (10PS,9BS,8V). I'm also retaking some science classes over the course of this year which will end up raising my science and cumulative GPA for applying to DO school.

Do I have a shot in getting into DO's if I apply now (Thinking AZCOM, Touro-CA, Touro,NV, Western (long shot))? Or is it too late with my stats? And can I update the school with my subsequent retakes which would then up the GPA on my application?

you could apply, but it'll take a while to get verified. you might be better off waiting til next cycle.

you still have a chance! a lot of the people here applied really early but i was one of the people who finished everything in the middle of september. I just got invited to an interview this week so it shows you that its not too late to apply. you still have a good chance of getting in. it is a bit late but people who applied during december and january of last yr got in if you look through last years threads.

You send in your letters of recommendation with the secondary. Some of the state osteopathic websites have mentor programs with DOs so I would look there. I would try to find someone to shadow fast because it could take awhile to get the letter and that could push your application back even further.
