For schools with rolling admissions, everyone tries to get interviews in September or early October. I got two interviews for early October but will be abroad during that time. Am I at a strong disadvantage if I interview in late October/mid-November? Any advice is great.

Are your options interview or don't? I mean unless you're considering not going abroad then you'll interview late and hope for the best.

Disadvantage? Maybe slightly....
Deciding factor in admission? Probably not....

Is late October/November even really that late? Some schools don't even start interviewing until mid-sept/oct, and I thought schools interviewed all the way into February....

All the people that interview in the intervening months can't be completely ef'd can they?

I would hope not.

I'm pretty sure as long as you long as you're complete by Sept, and interview before by the end of this year, you're fine

Yeah, I looked into changing my airline tickets to try to work those dates out, but the switch would be $1200. HAH. Yeah right.

I got in touch with the admissions office at both schools. One interview was switched to Oct 1 (I don't know how I was so lucky). The other school said that their first available interview is mid-November (~Nov 16). I am surprised that things are booked that far in advance already. What can you do...
