Some info: 514 MCAT, 3.82 GPA, 3.68 sGPA (maybe? Idk), ~700 ish hours research, ~350 teaching, ~2000 Residents assistant, ~250 clinical volunteering, ~300 general volunteering

Hey these are my highlights I think, I ****ed up and waited too long to submit my mfing primary Wednesday. Do I have to take a gap year? How dumb would either thing be?

Also, if I have to take a gap year any suggestions for what’s good to do? Right now I’m volunteering with HIV testing, which is new and I have like 50 hours so far and it’s awesome with the outreach

It might not be TOO late, but it's definitely not early -- why did you wait so long if you knew it would be an issue? Most people who are aware of the timing issue either don't wait past Labor Day, or don't wait and then post about it a few days later! 🙂

If you are not yet verified, I believe you can withdraw and not be a reapplicant.

It's certainly not early, but right now it looks like AMCAS verification turnaround is only ~3 days. Assuming you pre-wrote secondaries (and they're polished and high quality), you likely could have a large percentage of your apps in within the next few days, only about a week after the Labor Day soft deadline.

I don’t think someone who submits their primary 2 months after the recommended time would be able to send in 20-30 secondaries within a matter of days.
