is late august too late for the dat? i just have not had the time to study with classes, personal, and family issues....lets just say a string of bad luck has hit me the last year....i have my application in but my dat is set for the 29th and im not ready....was thinking late aug to be prepared....any advice would help!!!!

Never take the DAT if you feel that you're not prepared. If you think that pushing the test back to late August would give you a higher likelihood of performing well, then by all means do that.

Keep in mind that, and i'm sure you are already aware, your application will not be complete until your scores are received. This means that you will not be viewed as an "applicant" because your application is not yet reviewable.

appreciate the help......good scores, too bad bowden is still ahead of joe pa in all time wins! lol just a lil humor!

I'm a Nole too!! Can you guess where I got my username from?? lol Good luck on your DAT's!

don't worry. When I had applied to dental school, (i have a very long complicated story about dental school or not dental school, so just pay attention to this post and not my other ones) I took the DAT at the end of September (october 1st).

I still managed to get into three schools (USC, Tufts, NYU) - meaning that I believe test date doesn't matter so much as doing WELL on the test and of course, solidifying the rest of your application . Good luck.
