Hello all,
I took a year off between my third and fourth years to do a Doris Duke research fellowship. The institution awarded me a certificate in research from the graduate school. I'm wondering how to code all of this stuff in ERAS.
Should I list the Doris Duke year in the "education" or "medical education" section in addition to listing it as an "experience" (research)? And should I list the certificate somewhere? Granted it's not a degree but it is a formal certificate program that was completed during the year.
Lastly, does my research year necessitate me to list in the "misc" section that I've extended/interrupted my medical education? I'd rather not check yes for that box because the connotations seem negative for interrupting my education and I don't want this to get me filtered out?
Any advice?
