I suppose I haven't done much intensive studying yet aside from daily email vetprep and zuku questions and occasionally doing vetprep practice questions (I'm only 6% through vetprep haha). But I just took an ICVA self-assessment to get a base of where I am and how much I need to improve, and I only had a projected score of between 303 and 353 (need 425 to pass). YIKES. I am taking the NAVLE in either late November or early December, so I have some time, but it is super uncommon to have THIS low of a score 4 months beforehand? Does anyone have any study tips that could help my score improve by over 100 points in this short of a timespan? Or am I doomed.

Umm, you have only done 6% of VetPrep, what were you expecting?

Do more VetPrep, recognize what questions you seem to know better vs those you don't... such as I can answer most small animal questions fairly easily but pig diarrhea gives me trouble. Read the VetPrep pages on the subjects you are having a hard time on. Don't worry about taking another test until at least October.
You have plenty of time. Heck I didn't really get deep into studying until end of August/beginning of September, then I really kicked it up in October and November. I didn't even take one of those practice tests until November and only to calm my nerves.

I agree with DVMD. You did poorly, but you also haven't really studied that much if you're just at 6% on VetPrep...so the solution seems to be to just study?
And to be honest I haven't heard of anyone taking the paid practice exams way far out like you did so I can't really say anything on the capacity to improve. I took a couple about two weeks and two days before the test and was projected to pass, and I did pass. But I didn't take them before I started studying. When I was studying for phase one of my specialty boards I took a ton of practice tests and was consistently passing, but I failed the real thing so I'm a firm believer that anything can happen no matter how well someone prepares. But also keep in perspective that the NAVLE is a test that 95-99% of people pass. And those that don't pass, yeah it sucks, but its not the end of the world and most people take it once or twice more and then pass.
