I took Test 1 of the "Official" Practice Tests today and I am not sure what to take away from the score report.

My section scores were

Total Items: 175 / 200
Verbal Ability: 33 / 40
Biology: 37 / 40
Chemistry: 38 /40
Reading Comprehension:35 /40
Quantitative Ability: 32 / 40

They give such huge percentile ranges that I do not know where I am.

What would these scores translate to and is what scores should I be looking at to be competitive?

It doesn't mean anything unless you TIMED yourself, did you? That is an important element to recreating the actual testing environment. If you did do that, without peeking at the answers, then you should do great on the real thing. Good luck!😀

Yea I took it under timed conditions, I was worried about timing going in but finished each section with plenty time to spare, except the quant which I only had like 2 minutes left.

I just hope this wasn't a fluke. I am taking the PCAT on the 24th and the MCAT the 31st, so I have been studying for the MCAT for a few months now. I guess that helped.

hah, yea I know I had been planning to take the MCAT far in advance, it wasnt until about a month ago when I seriously considered pharmacy.

I worked as a pharm tech in HS and I have been again since September, and there a lot of things about pharmacy that I really like.

I figured I would be better off taking the January PCAT than having to refresh all of my science knowledge for the June test, I just hope it pays off

My scores from the Oct PCAT were nearly identical to the first practice test that I took. It was kind of scary.

Yes, of course studying for the MCAT will prepare you for the rigors of the PCAT, it's basically the same material minus the physics, you should do just fine. 8 more days!!woohoo!!😱

Wow that does look like a great score! looks like you only missed 2 questions out of 40 on the chem section. Not bad. 😀 Are these practice exams harder or easier than Kaplans???

ne1 taken the online pcat -- https://tpc-etesting.com

has anybody taken that? im taking it now. it is AWFUL. the server is slow.. i thought this was going to be like topscore and u could just easily download. i think this is a HUGE waste of time. u spend more time staring at the blank screen watching ur computer load rather than actually studying.. does ne1 know what im talking about?

thanks, i would guess that they are easier than kaplans. Kaplan tends to make their tests more difficult so that you feel like the real thing was easier and kaplan helped you. also so that in encourages you to learn more
