Took my 1st practice DAT today, suggestions?

Understand what you did wrong. Only re-do tests if your memory isn't very good and/or you only have a few tests. My memory is terrible, but I remember my mistakes very well so I never re-did a practice test. I'd remember the ones I got wrong, while ignoring the ones I got right.

Which test did you do? Was it one of the ADA ones or private ones (Kaplan, Achiever, Top Score etc.)

Go back and go though all of the answers you got wrong. Spend time researching the subjects that you got wrong and try to see if you have a particular weakness that you need to spend time on. Going through you mistakes is one of the best ways you can improve.

For a first time through, without the brunt of your preparation, no real worries on the score front. Sciences are not too shabby and with practice that will get much better . Gen Chem esp. is one section you want to look over carefully if like me you took Gen Chem years ago.

QR and RC are solid!

Pat is undoubtedly low, but it was low for me too, it gets a lot better with practice, Crack DAT PAT and Achiever FTW in this regard.

EDIT: I actually thought the 2009 one wasn't very good since it had quite a few errors. 2007 is a bit on the easier side, but it was only a point higher for my AA and Sciences.

I totally forgot about this. Yea watch out for errors! I think I spent a whole day figuring out the QR and Bio mistakes on sdn. You'd think ada would be on top of this before releasing an exam

i don't think there's a thread with all the errors. i usually just typed in '2009/2007 practice dat question #x sdn' on google. good luck
