I'm please with my results overall, the PAT is the only weak point

AA 20
PAT 15
QR 22
RC 20
Bio 19
GC 21
OC 20
Total science 20

MY gpa is 3.3, I think I'm on borderline for getting into school like NJ and Buffalo
How I studied:
Bio: kaplan book + Cliff's AP bio (which is great, I used it in HS 6 years ago too)
GC: kaplan + examcrackers
OC: kaplan + examcrackers

I practiced using TopScore I don't think it helped much, don't forget to use the sample test AADSAS provides you and I also used the sample exam for the OAT.
For the PAT I ran dry on time. I hoped to get through the angles and have 30min left but I only had 24 min left. Some angles didn't have points on them. WTF? It seemed like two lines from space lying close but not connecting. The last 8 questions I filled in with C's as I ran out of time.
Things like reading and quantitative reasoning I don't think you can prepare for, it's your lifetime of learning that'll make the difference.

Hope your guys have better Luck PAT

That's why I'm thinking way ahead for the PAT and the RC, since it isn't something that one "trains" or "studies" and goes into it the way he or she is.

Not true. If you dont practice your PAT and RC skills you'll be in for some stressful times while taking the dat.

hey speter33

I have to disagree....The only 2 sections I didn't study for at all were the PAT and RC...they ended up being my two highest scores, 22 and 24 respectively. I think it just depends on the person.

printed dat application booklet is the sample problems I used. I also used the printed OAT application booklet. I think those are the only realistic sample tests. TopScore is very mediocre at best

You can't improve at RC or QR but you can fine tune your skills and remember what u used to know. But if you never were good at reading or math it's too late to study now

I agree that some people have a natural skill at these two sections. But for those who struggle with the PAT and RC sections can vastly improve their scores with lots of practice. I know this because I'm an example of this (especially the RC section).

great scores except for the pat. don't sweat it bro, some schools do have chalk carving test like llu as tooth fairy about it. you have a second shot bro.....peace
