I took my part 1 yesterday. In my opinion the Biochem/Anatomic Sciences was the most difficult. The Dental Anatomy/ Micro was a lot easier. I felt much more comfortable with this part. I took the test in Miami, and the center had their fire alarm continously going off. Which was a huge distraction. So needless to say it only made the test a little harder to concentrate! But hopefully i did ok..As for studying, i highly recommend the Kaplan book, I think that i concentrated too much on the old exams. Now im confused and i have some questions.Being that i took the exam in the old format what happens if i only fail one subject.since the new format starts in Jan?Well good luck to those who took it this week and lets keep our fingers crossed!

yeah i took mine also this past thursday, and honestly I felt like it was pretty damn tough. I studied like 6 months for this on and off cuz i'm still attending dental school classes. The Biochem section was the most difficult...they asked a lot about enzymes this and ezymes that and some questions about [H+] concentrations that had to be calculated somehow ( i got this wrong for sure) and i hadnt gone over this since I was in priciples of chemistry in college undergrad!!! anyways, the dental anatomy was pretty tough as well...they asked a few questions on articulators...weird questions though. a lot of occlusal movements in which u had to picture in ur head to figure it out (took some time to figure them out). The mcro section was pretty easy. Anatomy wasnt that tough as well. Overall, I felt like if i had gone over more exams , i would have done a lot better. I only read through 1/4 of the exams that i had , i wish i could have read and memorized more cuz i felt like they had a majority of the questions from the previous exam papers. I was lucky though that i went over the 2006 papers the night before the exam cuz a few questions came from there. Those helped me the most...the rest of the questions I probablty knew cuz i went over the kaplan book like 2 times but we'll see what happens! Im crossing my fingers for at least a 86!
