I finally got it over with.

AA 21
TS 21
Bio 21
GC 19
OC 23
RC 22
QR 21
PAT 22

I am very pleased with my scores. Like others, I found the bio to be completely conceptual and all the definitions and quick facts I memorized didn't seem to help out that much. Gen chem was easy but I guess I missed a lot or something. Pat was similar to topscore except for angle ranking which was the hardest I have seen yet. Ochem was pretty easy, just know your synthesis reactions.

Now I just pray that these scores with my 3.9sGPA and my 3.7 overall will get me a spot at Pacific.

nice scores...very nice

can you elaborate on how you prepared for the bio portion? Something had to have worked for you!!

Could you give us an example of what you encountered as more conceptual biology questions?

I would study major processes in biology. For example: learn start to finish how induction works in embryonic development. Learn about the whole process of excretion, for example when you memorize that most reabsorption occurs in the proximal tubule of the nephron, learn why and how the cells in the nephron can do this. Know the basic inputs and outputs of glycolysis, krebs cycle, cori cycle, calvin cycle, etc. Learn all about what types of tissues are in the body like cartilage for example and learn where it can be found and what purpose it is serving there. But even having said that, it could still just be so random.

Just make sure you apply early at Pacific and you have a shot. Great scores and good luck.

I used topscore, achiever, Barron's, Kaplan's blue Dat book, Destroyer, and Schaum's outline of biology. I have a newborn and work 40 hours a week, so I have been studying every weekday night for 3 hours and all day saturdays since about the beginning of May.
