I'm done with it! I scored 20TS/20AA/20PAT and I’m pretty happy with my scores. I think those of you who have not taken the test will be happy to hear that I did better on the actual test than I did on the practice tests. I was scoring around 17 and 18 for the bio, chem, and orgo on topscore and Kaplan. My best was 25 in orgo and my worst was 16 in QR (ouch, this sucks). Unfortunately I did a lot worse on the actual test in QR than I did on the practice tests. I scored a 21 on topscore 3 days ago in QR, I ran out of time and had a lot of word problems that took lots of time on the actual test. I would suggest using flashcards to study for orgo, it really helped me with predict the product questions because it’s the same style as you see on the test. As for QR, I don’t think I’m qualified to give any advice, but if I could do it again I would try to find as many practice problems as possible. The only problems I did were those on topscore and on the Kaplan tests and this really hurt me. For study material I uses the Kaplan blue book which I thought was a great, however it does not cover everything that you see on the test. I also used my old bio and chem text books, but really didn’t use them very much. There are some plant questions on the test which Kaplan doesn’t cover at all, so I’d study those chapters a little in old text books. Other than that I’d say it’s important to relax before the test, I wouldn’t spend the eve of the test cramming material, watch a movie or something

Do you guys think that a 16 will kill me? My stats are around 3.1-2 and I’m not planning on applying to the top schools.

most important, apply early-that is the most critical thing for you-i bet then, you will be fine.

Nice scores!! Was there alot of geometry on the QR? What kind of word promblems were there? You don't have to answer but I just want an idea...

Congrats! Nice scores. Don't worry too much about QR, your AA is good.
If you had 16 in one of the sciences, well that would be baaad. 🙂

can you tell us your bio score on the ADA sample test??

There were a couple ecology questions on the test that were not covered in the kaplan blue book. I would recommend studying that stuff because it came up on a lot of my practice tests as well, so i think its a safe bet that you will have at least one on the test.

The ADA test is easier than the actual DAT, i think i scored a 23 on the chem section and got a 18 on the real DAT. As for bio, i think i scored a 20 and thats what i got on the actual test. I took this test a couple weeks before the real thing though so i did study a lot more after that.

hi can you post your detail scores!, just want to see how your sciences were spread out. Also, dont worry about 16-QR most schools dont really look at it greatly. And CONGRATS!!, I know how you feel, i took mine in April!!

my detailed scores are:

PAT 20 (88.2%)
QR 16 (50.5%)
RC 20 (65.6%)
BIO 20 (89.5%)
CHEM 18 (63.9%)
Orgo 25 (98%)
TS 20 (86.9%)
AA 20 (86.1%)

nice scores..

a lot of schools don't weigh QR heavily, then there are some schools that will see 16 or below on any category as a red flag. you should call the schools up before you apply.
