For any TOOL fans out there... this tour is by far one of the best I've seen. (prolly seen them 10 times over 10+ years) Saw them this weekend. Wow...Amazing performance... like usual. Visual effects/laser lights were out of this world. Very artistic. Perfect sound and great set list. Undertow, Aenima, lateralus and 10,000 days all well represented.

I think they hit Red Rocks next. I would not miss it if you have the means to get a ticket (sold out).

I'm jealous, most of my friends caught them this weekend as well... I had no funds, so it was out to the lake for me! (which was also great fun, good wind = good sailing!) 😀 I heard that it was an unbelievable show. Hopefully I will catch them the next time around.

I see you are from Kansas. Danny Carey was sporting his Jayhawk gear and stuck around the longest on the set. Typical when he comes to K.C. BTW, hands down the best drummer I've ever heard.

That's awesome, Rock Chalk! 😀 Several years ago there was a metal fest that came through Lawrence... it included slipknot, slayer, sepultura, sevendust, hatebreed, mudvayne, and a bunch of others... watching Igor Cavalera (Sepultura) go to town on the double bass in Chaos B.C. was fun!

Every time I see your avatar, I cringe! 😀 I'm just glad that the Big 12 (10) stayed together so that we can keep our rivalry alive! I work in Missouri and I have some Jayhawk scrubs that I wear. That has managed to get me in trouble more than once! 😉

Managed to see TOOL live in NH for the first time a few years back.....those memories will not die.

As far as Danny Carey goes he is in my top 3 favorites whom I have seen live, Brann Dailor of Mastodon (hands down my favorite drummer) and Mike Portnoy are the other two.

I caught Mastodon touring with Baroness last month. They played for aound 2+ hours. Best I have seen live in the past year or so was when Opeth played in Pittsburgh. I've been going through a revival of death/black/blackened metal and managed to escape the call schedule long enough to see Enslaved, Gojira, and Behemoth in addition. Speaking of drummers, Inferno is a frigging beastly machine (for Behemoth). Punish the tympanic membranes! 😱
