ARG! This post sucks! It sucks so bad that I am going to waste time responding to this post to let it know how bad it sucks....and then I will critique how well a post is written and if it has any mispelled words, oh no, then I will go bizerk!!
Ok, now that that is out of the way, this is what I have heard: What you learn in Dental school you will basically relearn your next five years out of dental school. So, though the school will teach you a good foundation, it will not compare to what you will learn your first few years of actually practicing. Schools are not officially ranked, but on the website predents.net you can rank all of the schools in terms of GPA, DAT, PAT, Cost, and some other things I forget. I would say what is important in a school is what percentage of their students pass the board exams. I hear that NYU is really good about passing the board exams, but I am not sure where this information can be found or if there are published stats on each school for how many students pass each board exam. For me at this moment my top three schools are solely based on location and price, and I do not want to list them for fear that everyone else will apply to these schools upon finding out that they are my top three, which I am sure would happen.
